Which tax rebates are available?

Marriage Allowance Claim

The marriage allowance is a government scheme designed to give married couples, and civil partners, income tax relief. Essentially, you’re able to transfer some of your tax-free allowance to your partner if you make less than the current personal allowance.

In doing this, they can reduce their tax bill by up to £251 over the year. Tax benefits can change and depend on an individual’s circumstances.

Uniform Tax Rebate

If you wear a uniform at work, and have to wash, repair or replace it yourself, you may be able to reclaim £100s of tax for up to five years of expenses. You can reclaim whether it’s just a branded T-shirt or if you’re a fully uniformed pilot, police officer or nurse.

It takes a couple of minutes to enter your claim. Once it’s been submitted to us it depends on how busy HMRC are, usually it takes them between 4 and 12 weeks to respond to a tax rebate claim.

WFH Tax Rebate

If you were told by your employer to work from home during the pandemic – even for just one day – you can apply for tax relief up to £140 per tax year. The money is to cover extra costs such as higher heating and broadband bills.

Some workers will be able to claim for this tax year too, giving them up to £420 in tax relief.

How far back can I claim?

You can backdate your claim to the last previous 4 tax years, you can also claim for completed part of the current tax year. We will get the previous years refunded as a single payment. The rest will be paid in your wages, as will any future tax relief.

Are you a government agency or affiliated with HMRC?

No. HMRC does not endorse or affiliate itself with ANY private company.We are a private company, which is registered as an agent and MLR (money laundering regulation) supervision with HMRC, that specialises in PAYE & Marriage Allowance tax refund claims.

Can I claim directly with HMRC?

Yes, you can can claim directly with HMRC, although it can be time consuming. We will also provide advice on any other Tax Rebates you can claim.

Do I need to claim each year?

Not usually. When you submit a claim with us, we will not only claim a refund for prior years, but we’ll also apply to change your tax code to ensure that you receive the relevant tax reliefs directly in your pay. You will receive notification of your new tax code from HMRC.

What is considered a uniform?
